Celebrity Pigs and Celebrity Owners

Famous Pig Owners

George Clooney had Max, who grew to be nearly 300 lbs and scared visitors as he wandered around the Beverly Hills property of the actor. Max would often ride on a private plane with George and was reported to be somewhat opinionated but very social. George was quoted as saying that he had the pig for 19 years and it was the longest relationship he had ever had. Here he is on Oprah talking about Max. http://www.oprah.com/own-oprahshow/george-clooney-on-his-pet-pig-he-runs-the-house-video_1

One interview: For 18 years, George Clooney's pig "Max" was big part of the actor's life - witnessing nearly every moment of his rise from Hollywood unknown to A-list star. The Vietnamese black bristled potbellied pig, who passed away in 2006, not only occasionally shared Clooney's bed, but also became something of a star himself on film sets and in interviews with the actor. Max was often seen on the set of various movies George was working on.

The love Clooney had for his pig, which he liked to joke was the longest relationship of his life. Max has been blamed for bringing at least two of Clooney's relationships to an end (the model Celine Balitran apparently got the wrong answer when she issued an "It's me or the pig" ultimatum). Clooney even took Max on a trip in John Travolta's private jet.

In a column a few years back for the Cincinnati Inquirer, George Clooney's father, Nick, talked a bit about his son's pig - revealing that Max too, quickly became a large family member.

"Those who fostered the adoption," Clooney Sr. wrote, "neglected to tell George that Max would one day be the size of a linebacker with an appetite to match."

"When Max is hungry," he added, "he lumbers over to the front door and lies down lengthwise over the welcome mat, completely blocking the entrance. He then grunts and squeals until someone brings him breakfast. George has not required an alarm clock for 17 years."

George and Max also made an impression on the people around him - in particular his "Batman and Robin" co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold also bought a “mini pig” that grew to be 300 lbs and it was promptly sent to live on a farm. You often see photos of George with Max that have been photoshopped. Max was all black. This pig is Arnolds.

Miley Cyrus made headlines when she posted pictures of her pet pig Bubba Sue on Instagram. From cuddling and feeding her to peppering her with kisses, Miley has shown the world how much she adores Bubba Sue. In 2015, she broke the Internet when she posed nude and muddy with her pet for Paper magazine.

Paris Hilton's pet would easily fit into a teacup when she was young In fact it was so cute it inspired many other celebrities to adopt one too. Well, Princess Pigelette is a grown up and no longer fits in her arm like it used to, but she loves it.

A number of both British and American celebrities have or have had pigs as pets. Most of them have greatly outgrown their cute stage, but some have become members of the family.
